David Cicilline is an American politician. A member of the Democratic Party, he has served as a Member of the U.S. House of Representatives from Rhode Island, since January 3, 2011. He was previously Mayor of Providence, Rhode Island, from January 6, 2003 to January 3, 2011.
David is the son of Sabra (Peskin) and John Francis Cicilline. His father is of Italian descent, and Catholic. His mother is Jewish (of Latvian Jewish and Romanian Jewish descent). David identifies with the Jewish religion.
